Lyrics: | The older you get, the more goodbyes you say |
Comments: | This is an original tag I wrote after watching the ESPN 30 for 30 documentary on the 1985 Chicago Bears. Former defensive player, Mike Singletary, was visiting an ailing Buddy Ryan. Buddy was the Defensive Coordinator for their win during Super Bowl XX. Mike reflects in the middle of the interview and says the line, “The older you get, the more goodbyes you say.” I wrote that phrase down and eventually wrote this tag. Here is the clip and the line is said at the 1:14 mark. https://youtu.be/91GLPhG8ow0 I was lucky enough to be in Orlando for the Labor Day Jamboree and our 2018 International Champs, After Hours. Many thanks them for leaning it and Dan Wessler adding the “Bears” shout out at the end. |
