| Comments: | This fixes some minor voice-leading and chord issues. Hey, it was late and my anger at the 49ers clouded my judgement. ? "Gidiron Heroes" was written as the victory song for the Detroit Lions by Wayne State University band director, Graham T. Overgard, in 1937. It was frequently played at home games by the WSU Marching Band at halftime shows through the early 90s. While the chorus to the song is still sung by the fans at home games, the opening verse is often omitted, and not well known. |
