Key written in: | B♭ Major |
How many parts: | 4 |
Type: | Other mixed |
Lyrics: | Sleep in heavenly peace (sleep) sleep in heavenly peace |
Comments: | A mysterious jazz-ish conclusion not meant for any scream action whatsoever. The tenor hangs a quick and hasty sleep in order for the other 3 parts to reemphasize "sleep in heavenly sleep." Might I invite a little deep thinking about the nature of this tag... we've always wondered at mysteries of what goes on in the brain while we sleep, and what formulates dreams, what all enforces sleep, etc. on the molecular level. The tone reflects such mysteries in its music. And the awe of it really comes out with the legger Bb at the end (if you can do it. If not, sing the F above it for that reinforcement.) |
